The Artist's Palate, tucked into a row of businesses on Main Street in the City of Poughkeepsie, had offered vegetarian and imaginative regional plates for the past 14 years.

Owner and chef Charles Fells said on Facebook that it was time to say goodbye and continue on with his other projects, including Canvas, a private catering business, and the ultra-popular, Brasserie 292, also on Main Street.

"It is with a heavy heart that I announce the closure of TAP for good," Fells said on Facebook.

Fells then added a bit of a teaser: "Stay tuned though for the next chapter."
